We've picked some great Internet sites to help you get started on your research.

Subject Directories:

  • Academic Info - Your gateway to quality educational resources
  • Infomine -is a comprehensive virtual library and reference tool for academic and
    scholarly Internet resources.
  • .Internet Public Library- a collection of reference resources arranged for browsing in broad subject categories.
  • Librarians Index to the Internet -"Information You Can Trust" because every site is reviewed before it becomes a live link. 
  • Open Directory -is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web.
  • Kathy Schrock's Guide -is a categorized list of sites designed to enhance curriculum and professional growth, but has even more to offer. Another plusis, that it is updated frequently.

Search Engines:

Meta Search Tools:

  • Clusty- this is a meta-search engine that lets you pick what sources to search. 
  • Dogpile- Uses the following search engines: Yahoo, AltaVista, Ask Jeeves,  About, LookSmart, Teoma and more.
  • Profusion-  lets you select several sources within a topic category and then does a keyword earch of each one of them.
