On Tuesday, May 20, Cambridge CSD residents will vote on the proposed 2025-26 budget. In addition to the budget proposal, voters will also elect a candidate to fill an open seat on the Board of Education. The successful candidate will serve a three-year term through June 30, 2028.
This year, three individuals are running for the open seat. The candidates, listed in the order they will appear on the ballot, are Christine Congelosi-Lulla, Jillian Herrington and Thomas Hemmerling.
On Tuesday, May 13, the Cambridge Faculty Association (CFA) is hosting a Meet the Candidates Night. The event will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. in the High School Library. The event will be moderated by Carl Flint, a retired teacher and former CFA vice president.
Event Format
- Opening remarks by the moderator.
- Each candidate will be given the opportunity to make an opening statement no longer than two (2) minutes.
- Members of the community may submit questions which will be selected at random.
- Each candidate will be given two (2) minutes to respond to each question.
- Candidates may make a one (1) minute closing statement.
This event is open to the public and the media.
