My Booklist

  • The connection to Art in all subject matter is very important.  It has been proven everyone benefits from higher levels of thinking, that a great Arts Education can provide.

In every project completed in our studio Science, Math, Logic, and abstract thinking are in the fore-front.  We use problem solving skills at every level.  We strive to use an
"integrated" curriculum in our studio so each student can make the connections which are important to success in creativity!

Each project includes, at some level, the understanding of
critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills and basic art skills.  Art supports the success of  academic achievement, higher test scoring, memory ability and preparation for the work world.

I am very much interested in Science, Literature, Math, History and Current Events.   The books I recommend most make the connections between the Arts & the core curriculum subjects.  I have a vast library so please check back every so often because I will up-date my lists often.

I enjoyed this book because it helped me make better connections with Design ideas. I think it is a good book to read if you want to expand the idea that "math" is NOT only numbers... Because it is ART too!
