Cambridge Enrichment Courses - Summer 2019

Farm to Table Cooking Class (Grades 7 & 8)
Students will learn to cook a variety of dishes, using locally grown products. Students will also have the opportunity to visit some of the farms where these products are grown and/or made.

The Cambridge Floating Classroom
This outdoor classroom opportunity will allow students to conduct real scientific research on nearby Hedges Lake utilizing he CCS Floating classroom, which is a 20 foot long pontoon boat which is owned, operated, and maintained by Cambridge Central School. The boat is outfitted with water quality testing and underwater surveying equipment. While on board, students will learn the techniques of water quality analysis and underwater exploration.

Session 2: July 24-25, 8 am - 1 pm
CCS Summer Archaeology Field School
This course will provide students in grades 9-12 and accelerated science students in grade 8 the opportunity to learn techniques in archaeological fieldwork. Students will be conducting archaeological field work at local sites including Shays’ Settlement which is a historic site located in Sandgate, Vermont that was founded by Capt. Daniel Shays in 1787.
