I hope everyone is doing well as we navigate through these unknown waters together, and we strive to keep our community up-to-date as information becomes available, or changes. As you are likely aware, the week of Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 17, 2020 was scheduled as a spring recess. Last Friday, Governor Cuomo issued a new executive order. Please realize that during those dates, districts must continue to provide remote instruction for students, meals for students, and child care for essential workers every weekday, even if the district is scheduled to be on spring break during that time as per that order.
I hope that many of you will find this news as a relief in knowing that your child(ren) will still continue receiving instruction and meals, and childcare will still be provided for that week. Also, not having this disruption of the new routine will hopefully help create some consistency for our students and parents and guardians as we adapt and continue forging ahead.
We are posting a more detailed letter to our COVID site, and we will be mailing that letter tomorrow as well.
Stay home, stay safe.
