• Hello, this is the Cambridge Superintendent of Schools Dr. Silvernell.

As a community we have taken safety protocols and procedures here at school very seriously.  As a result, we have been able to maintain in-person learning at CCS.

Recently, Governor Cuomo and the New York State Department of Health released guidance on required COVID-19 testing for schools to continue in-person operations in areas with a micro cluster designation. It is a goal of the Cambridge School District to remain open for in person learning, as long as we can meet the established testing standards and maintain safety for our children and our staff.

The district is developing a testing plan in the event we are impacted.  At the lowest level, a yellow zone micro cluster designation, we would be required to randomly test 20% of our in-person students and staff for COVID-19 as part of the process to remain open.  We are seeking parental permission to conduct required testing.  Please open your email and follow the link to complete this important process.   Note that the students receiving full, remote instruction do not need to complete this form. If you are unable to access the form, please call the district office and we will mail you a copy.

Included in the email is a link to the district's draft testing plan as of 1/7/21.

Thank you for your continued support of the Cambridge Central School District. Be well, be kind, stay safe!
