We assign homework that we feel supports and reinforces what we have done in class.  At the end of the day, students will take out their agenda books and write in all assignments that were assigned for that day.  Any assignments not completed during the day become homework.  Homework is due first thing in the morning the day after it is assigned, unless specified otherwise.  Students are responsible for correctly writing the assignments in the correct place in their agenda books.

As far as late homework, we  give the students the first month of school to become acclimated to our 4th grade homework procedure.  No points will be taken off for late homework during the first month as long as the students eventually complete the assignment and turn it in.  After the first month, there is a 10 point reduction for each day the homework is late.  After three days have passed, a zero grade will be given.
