Tribesmen Booster Club
Helping student athletes achieve excellence and promote school spirit at CCS.
Next Meeting: Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 6:30 p.m.
The Cambridge Tribesmen Booster Club helps its student athletes achieve excellence and promotes attendance and spirit at athletic events. The Booster Club supports the Athletics Department at CCS by assisting with fundraising opportunities, distributing funds it raises in support of athletics and advocating for athletics in the community. It also recognizes the important relationship between success in athletics, academics and career readiness.
The Booster Club raises funds to support enrichment efforts primarily by operating a concession stand at home sporting events. Please join us! Members of the public are invited to volunteer to staff concessions stands. Those interested in volunteering or contributing are encouraged to either email Penny Brand or Chris Crucetti.
The Booster Club encourages you to support and cheer on CCS’ teams. Please visit the CCS Athletic Webpage for a full schedule of games.
Funds Raised Support Programs
Specifically, during the 2016-2017 school year, the Booster Club funded:
- Customized, soft-shell jackets and patches for the state champion football team
- The ‘seven v. seven’ football tournament
- A summer basketball league
- A weightlifting competition
- Golf memberships
- A cheerleading camp
- A volleyball clinic provided by the UAlbany volleyball team and staff
Thanks to the Booster Club, CCS also has a new scoring table and chairs that are used during volleyball and basketball competitions. Along with funding other activities, it also provided college scholarships to seniors and purchased parent tickets to all-star banquets. To further build teams and promote school spirit, it has provided shirts for all varsity athletes. Since 2013, the Booster Club has distributed over 1,100 shirts to varsity athletes.
We look forward to your support throughout the 2017-2018 school year!
