From Guidance:

● May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

● Join Ms. O'Hearn each Monday in May 9th period in Room 80 (Across from the cafeteria) for different activities related to encouraging and promoting positive mental health.

● If you are looking for a summer job, are at least 14 years old, and live in Washington County, stop down to the guidance office and grab an application.

● Applications are due back to LEAP Services no later than Friday May 17th.

● Interviews will be the last week of May, first weeks of June (July and August jobs). Positions will be available in Cambridge. Up to 8 weeks, 25 hours per week @ minimum wage of $11.10/hour.

● Attention students age 14 and older: the Cambridge Public Library is looking for student volunteers. If you are interested, please contact Christina Becker at

High School Band:

● Congratulations to those Band students who participated in the NYSSMA Solo Festival last weekend in Greenwich. Josha Roopnarine, Maddie Wiedl, Emma Townsend, Jack Donders, and Ayla Dansin. You did a superb job!

● The CCS Band students would like to invite you all to our spring concert on Monday, May 20th at 6:30 pm in the Auditorium. Come hear such favorites as the main theme from Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, jazz music, the classic Carry on Wayward Son and pop hit Feel It Still. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to following athletes who were crowned WASAREN League Champions on Wednesday night in Stillwater!!

Austin Hackman in the Pentathlon with 2593 points!

Jordan Brown in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 59.62!

Anna Headwell in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:25.54!

On a side note:

Ruthie Nolan finished 3rd in the 400 meter hurdles but broke the school record in the process running a 68.5!
