School tax payments due Sept. 30

School tax bills have been mailed to all district residents. If you have not received your tax bill, please email taxes@cambridgecsd.org or call 518-677-2653, ext. 1017.

School property tax rates are set in August for the upcoming school year. Tax rates are based on the total tax levy in the voter-approved school budget, the state-determined equalization rates and assessment rolls for each town.


Tax payments can only be accepted by mail or by dropping off in the drop box near the entrance of the Business Office at 58 South Park Street. No payments can be accepted inside the office. No cash. Check or money order only.

Receipts will be issued when your payment is processed. The receipt will be mailed within 2 weeks.

Mail-in Payments

Payments can be mailed. Please include your tax bill for accurate processing. The payment must be mailed to the following address:

Please note, Glens Falls National is no longer accepting school tax payments.

Due Dates

  • September 1, 2023 – September 30, 2023 with no penalty
  • October 1, 2023 – October 31, 2023 requires a 2% penalty

A valid, clear postmark is accepted. However, if using a payment processing company (online banking), the check must arrive by September 30, 2023 (or October 31, 2023 with the 2% penalty).

Cambridge Central School does not have the ability to accept debit card or credit card payments.

Taxes not paid by October 31, 2023 are turned over to the appropriate county for collection with additional penalties.
