Cambridge CSD was well-represented at the WSWHE BOCES Odyssey of the Mind region 6 competition recently held at the Queensbury Middle School. Over 300 students representing 22 school districts formed 48 teams. Cambridge CSD was represented by four teams comprised of students grade levels K-2; Grade 3; Grade 4; and Grade 8.

Two of the Cambridge teams earned first-place championships. They are the 3rd grade team, competing in the Gibberish or Not Division I; and the 8th grade team, competing in the Longshot Solution Division II. The 4th grade team earned a second place in the Longshot Solution Division I. These three teams will advance to the state competition to be held in Binghamton, NY on Saturday,
April 4.

The teams will continue to practice between now and the state competition, just as they have been doing so since October. The teams are coached by Mr. Joel Nichols,
Mrs. Beth O’Grady and Mrs. Carmen Robinson.

What is Odyssey of the Mind
Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving program that engages students in their learning by allowing their knowledge and ideas to come to life in an exciting, productive environment. Participants build self-confidence, develop life skills, create new friendships, and are able to recognize and explore their true potential. OotM proves that students can have fun while they learn.
