Getting to know the Top 10 students in the Class of 2026


As the school year winds down, it is time to celebrate the outstanding achievements, fondest memories and bright futures of the top ten students in the CCS Class of 2026!

Avery Brown

Avery Brown (Valedictorian)

  • Parents: Sheryl and Daniel Brown
  • Next Steps: Attending the University of Connecticut to study Biological Sciences
  • Favorite Memories: My favorite memory was spending my study halls playing games with my friends and laughing the whole time.
  • CCS Involvement: Student Council, National Honor Society, Best Buddies, Soccer, Basketball, Track and the Booster Club
  • Words of Gratitude: I would like to thank my parents for always supporting me, my friends for being there and always making me smile, and my teachers for pushing me to be my best.
Isaak Koopmann

Isaak Koopmann (Salutatorian)

  • Parents: Olive and Mark Koopmann
  • Next Steps: Earning an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood/Childhood Education at SUNY Adirondack, followed by a Bachelor of Science at Russell Sage College or Siena University to become an elementary school teacher.
  • Favorite Memories: I am proud of getting a 90% or higher on every regents exam, and I’m proud of getting a 4 on my AP English Language exam. I am also proud of getting on Principal’s Honor Roll every quarter of high school.
  • CCS Involvement: Served as Class Secretary and National Honor Society Secretary; participated in the Whatever! Journal, Yearbook Club and Ultimate Frisbee Club.
  • Words of Gratitude: I would like to thank mom and dad for making me and my education one of their top priorities. They have been there from the very beginning, during the highs and during the lows, and they believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. They’ve always encouraged me to do my best and without their love and guidance, I would not be where I am today. I would also like to thank my brother and sister for helping me through high school and offering advice even when I thought I didn’t need it. To all my teachers, thank you for your infinite patience over the years in answering my many questions. Your consistent support and expertise helped me succeed academically. Lastly, I’d like to thank all of my close friends who have been by my side for the whole ride making all these fun memories together. My high school experience would never have been the same without them.

  • Words of Gratitude: I would like to thank my parents and my teachers, especially Mrs. Gifford, Mr. Mooney, and Mr. White

  • Words of Gratitude: I would like to thank my parents, siblings and grandparents for their constant support towards me while I have been at CCS.

  • Next Steps: Attending Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) for Accounting
  • Favorite Memories: Going to the capital with Ms. Salisbury and playing volleyball with my queen Ava
  • CCS Involvement: Volleyball
  • Words of Gratitude: Thank you mom and dad for always supporting me and being there for me over the past four years. You both have fostered confidence and passion in me to work hard and pursue my dreams with no boundaries. I am so lucky to have you both.

  • Words of Gratitude: I would like to thank my parents and friends for always supporting me as well as my coaches and teachers for guiding me to success and pushing me to my full potential.
Brigid Toleman

Brigid Toleman

  • Parents: Erin O’Hearn and Brian Toleman
  • Next Steps: Attending High Point University, majoring in Exercise Science on a path to becoming a physical therapist
  • Favorite Memories: Being the first ever girl at Cambridge to qualify and play in girls golf sectionals. I am also proud of all the academic achievements and athletic milestones I have made for myself, my team and school.
  • CCS Involvement: Varsity Boys Golf, JV/Varsity Girls Basketball, JV/Varsity Girls Softball, Unified Basketball, National Honor Society, Best Buddies, Class Representative, Booster Club and football team spotting.
  • Words of Gratitude: I would like to thank both my parents for always supporting, encouraging and pushing me to do my best each and every day. I would also like to thank all my teachers and coaches for pushing me to success and my full potential. Lastly, I would like to give a big thank you to Aydin for each and every thing she has done for me throughout my career at CCS.
