Dear Cambridge Elementary Families,
Thank you to everyone who participated in our aluminum tab collection this past school year! Thanks to your generosity, we collected 40 pounds of aluminum tabs, which were recycled to help support the Ronald McDonald House. Every pound of tabs collected is worth approximately 50–60 cents, allowing us to donate about $25 to families staying at Ronald McDonald House while their children receive medical care.
It may not seem like much, but every single tab makes a difference! Together, our small donations add up to help families during some of the most challenging times in their lives.
We’re excited to continue our collection during the 2026–2027 school year, and we need your help! Start saving:
- Aluminum can tabs
- Cat food can tabs
- Aluminum bottle caps
Collect them at home and send them to school with your child. Each classroom will have a collection container and throughout the year every grade will compete to collect the most pounds of aluminum. Stop by Room 25 to deliver your tabs.
The winning grade will celebrate with a Make-Your-Own Ice Cream Sundae Party at the end of the school year!
So, don’t throw those tabs away—save them instead! A handful of tabs can help make a big difference for families in need.
Thank you for your continued support, generosity, and school spirit. We can’t wait to see how many tabs we can collect together this year!
