Letter from AD Lapitsky regarding fall sports information and registration

Dear Parents/Guardians/Student Athletes,

I hope this summer letter finds you and your family well. As we say farewell to the Class of 2026 and the start of a new school year approaches, it is once again time for fall athletic sign-ups! Just as in previous years we’ll be using Arbiter Registration (formerly FamilyID) to register for athletic teams. For the fall season, we’ll be offering the following programs for participation.

  • Girls Volleyball
  • Golf (Merged with Salem)
  • Football (Merged with Salem)
  • Boys Soccer (Merged with Salem)
  • Girls Soccer (Merged with Salem)
  • Field Hockey (Merged with Hoosick Falls and Salem; Hoosick Falls is the host school)

Parents/Guardians will need to register their child on Arbiter Registration before the closing date for that sport, as late registration will not be accepted. Each child must be registered for each sport in each season. However, once your information is entered, it’s saved for future seasons to expedite the registration process going forward. 

A parent/guardian must register by visiting the link. Select the registration form under the word Programs. This can only be opened within 30 days of the start of the season. Therefore, Arbiter/FamilyID will be opened on the dates listed at the end of this letter. 

Next click on the green Register Now button and scroll, if necessary, to the Create Account/Log In green buttons. If this is your first time using Arbiter, click Create Account. If you already have an Arbiter account, Click Log In. Create your secure Arbiter account by entering the account owner First and Last names (parent/guardian), E-mail address and password. Select I Agree to the Arbiter Terms of Service. Click Create Account. You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account. (If you don’t see the email, check your E-mail filters (spam, junk, etc.).

Once in the registration form, complete the information requested. All fields with a red* are required to have an answer. Click the Continue button when your form is complete. Be sure to review your registration summary. Click the green Submit button. After selecting ‘Submit’, the registration will be complete. You will receive a completion email from Arbiter confirming your registration. There is no charge to complete this process! 

At any time, you may login on the Arbiter website to update your information and to check your registration(s). To view a completed registration, select the ‘Registration’ tab on the blue bar at the top of your screen.

All participants will need to be registered and have an up to date physical for athletic participation prior to the first practice. You can always obtain a physical from your primary care physician and have the paperwork sent to the school nurse. WellNow Urgent Care is also an option. Their website mentions “convenient walk-in physicals” for sports (https://www.wellnow.com/services/physicals/). If your student’s physical took place outside of CCS, paperwork will need to be sent to the school nurse prior to participating in the first practice.

For questions pertaining to specific fall sports, please reach out to the coaches of those programs and they will be able to point you in the right direction. I have attached their contact information below along with the starting dates and times for each sport.

  • JV & VAR Girls Soccer: TBD
  • JV & VAR Girls Volleyball: TBD
  • JV & VAR Boys Soccer: 8-11 a.m.
  • VAR Golf @ Bus Garage: 9 a.m.
  • JV & VAR Field Hockey: 7:30-10:30 a.m. in Hoosick Falls
  • MOD Football: TBD

All other modified sports will start Aug. 31. Their start times are to be determined.
